  • 0

A Subdomain is a second-level domain that can be used for organizing different sections of your website (e.g., blog.yourdomain.com).

Here’s how to set up a subdomain in cPanel:

  1. Log into your cPanel account
  2. Under the "Domains" section click on the "Domains" option
  3. Once in the "Domains" page click on the "Create a new domain" button
  4. Enter the subdomain name you would like to create in the "Domain" textbox (Ex: blog.yourdomain.com)
  5. "Share document root" option :
    • Deselect this option if you wish for your subdomain to act as an individual separate site (NOTE: If proceeding with this option make sure to specify the directory where the files for the added subdomain should exist within the "Document Root" textbox )
    • Select this option if you wish for your subdomain to share the same document root as the primary domain associated with your cPanel account
  6. Click on the "Submit" button
