Configuring Gmail to Send and Receive HostMill Emails Print

You can configure Gmail to send and receive emails from your HostMill email account:

  1. Log in to Gmail:
    • Open Gmail and log in to your Google account.
  2. Go to Settings:
    • Click the gear icon in the top-right corner and select See all settings.
  3. Add a POP3 Email Account:
    • Go to the Accounts and Import tab, and under Check mail from other accounts, click Add a mail account.
    • Enter your HostMill email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com).
  4. Enter POP3 Settings:
    • Gmail will ask for the POP3 server details:
      • Username: Your full email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com)
      • Password: Your email password
      • POP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (port 995, SSL)
    • Check the box to Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server if you want to access them from other devices.
  5. Set Up SMTP for Sending:
    • Gmail will prompt you to configure the SMTP server for sending emails:
      • SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com (port 465, SSL)
      • Username: Your full email address
      • Password: Your email password
  6. Finish Setup:
    • Gmail will send a verification email to your HostMill email. Once you verify, Gmail will be able to send and receive emails from your HostMill account.
